Welcome back!
My name is Mr. Bartlett and I am your grade 10 math teacher this semester. This website is set up to allow those students who missed class (or were sleeping for class) to stay on top of what is going on in our classroom (room 121)
Topics covered today:
- Mr. Bartlett's rules: Show up on a regular basis, show up on time, come to class prepared(notebooks, journals, binders, paper, pencil, eraser), put forth your best effort. If rules are not followed then detentions will be served either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday at lunch.
- Math journals were handed out and for each entry, at least half a page of writing is expected. The journals will used as part of the communication mark.
- The course outline was handed out and is also expected to stay in the binder for the remainder of the semester. The outline highlights Mr. Bartlett's 4 main rules and the grade breakdown for the year. This class usually does not require the students to do homework and does not have a final exam! (Yipeeeee!)
- Mr. Bartlett is available for help every morning from 8:00am until 8:45am and also availble at lunch on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:30-12:00. If another time is needed students can set up a date and time with me.
- The class brainstormed a list of words that described the feelings students had regarding math classes. Using the list of words to help, each student was assigned a journal entry of at least one half page. The journal entry had to describe an experience the student has encountered in a math class in the past, it could be a postive or negative experience.
